Do Not Text Your Ex After Break Up

Having gone through a break up you are going to experience some stages of shock, anger, confusion, remorse, and a few others. It will be an unpredictable ride of emotions and if you are lucky you will do or say something idiotic only a few times during this process. Do you think being efficient with your cell phone is a good idea during this time where you have a high probability of foot in mouth disease?

Don't text after break up especially the first few days, or you are almost guaranteed to make your situation worse. Of course, this advice is for the one who is thinking maybe the relationship could maybe be repaired. But I would even suggest this to the one who thinks their ex is a moron and that right now you are day dreaming about all sorts of ways to get revenge. You might think that way right now but you might change your mind later. So for all those tempted to get those thumbs working on some clever text message, DON'T DO IT and here are a few reasons why!

You will look desperate and lonely. So maybe you are. But if you are showing yourself as weak and dependent upon your ex then this could help reinforce your ex's thoughts about maybe being better off without you.You are showing your controlling nature. If you are sending your ex a text message every few hours this is almost like attaching a G.P.S. to your ex, don't you think? At least your ex might see it that way.Your ex is going through some similar stages of shock and eventually recovery.

He or she needs time to make sense of it all, just like you do. So somehow you need to remember this is not just all about you! Heck, this might even be one of the reasons why the two of you broke up to begin with. If you send your ex a bunch of text messages what do you think are the odds of getting one back that will either hurt your feelings or confuse you even more? I think you know the answer.If you start texting your ex, you're going to consume all of your time waiting on a reply and analyzing why you are not getting a reply. You should be spending your time figuring out how you can be happy with or without your ex in your life.
